Although Oppo’s move is likely a protective measure against trademark squatting, it has sparked widespread discussion among Chinese netizens, with related topics trending on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. Last month, Oppo launched its Reno13 series smartphones, which netizens have humorously nicknamed “Little Ophone” due to their iPhone-like rear camera design.
